Zach Windahl is a famous young preacher who has been invited to speak at the synod. He is popular with the boys because he relates to their age. I don't know if he is popular with girls though. What do you think about this little story? Do you agree or disagree?
We should be willing to let our young ones to lead us into the wilderness to make them grow in faith. What a great way to grow in faith! How can we encourage the young ones when they are not so innocent in the belief system? They need to see the reality for what it really is. They need to see how old they are and that they have responsibilities.
The fact that he was invited to this very special event is also telling. He is a very young preacher but he is also very wise. He knows that he will not be able to change people's lives with just talking to them. He needs to do more.
He is an excellent teacher as well. He is open minded, but he is also smart. He knows that he cannot teach others just what he learned from his own experience. He needs to share what he has learned from his own life with others also.

We will have the chance to teach, counsel, and encourage youth to live life with integrity. We will be leaders, models, and role models.
We can be leaders, counselors, and teachers. We can work side by side with youth. We can walk alongside them as they grow and develop. We can be a catalyst in their lives as they strive to become healthy, strong, and spiritual adults. We can also become leaders for hire to work in the best possible way for the youth we serve.
